Wayland Town Crier 3/5/15: Wayland and Weston officials deal with METCO cut. School officials in Wayland and Weston are struggling with how to cope with two rounds of cuts to METCO funding made by Gov. Deval Patrick last fall and Gov. Charlie Baker last month, in attempts to balance the fiscal 2015 state budget. In Wayland, according to Superintendent Paul Stein, state grant allocations were reduced by a total of $50,808 ($11,860 by Patrick and $38,948 by Baker) from the original $676,719.
