CIVICS BEE SET FOR MARCH 15
The seventh annual League of Women Voters’ Civics Bee will take place Sunday, March 15, at 2 p.m. at the Wayland High School auditorium. Teams comprised of three middle school students, three high school students, and three adults will vie for the Civics Bee trophy. The Civics Bee is sponsored by the Leagues in Sudbury, Wayland, and Weston.
The Bee is free, and the public is encouraged to come and cheer for their town. The special theme section of this year’s Bee is Civil Rights, marking the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The main focus of the Civics Bee remains to challenge the teams’ overall knowledge of federal, state, and local government, with questions in all of those categories.
