Wayland Town Crier 1/22/15: Funding for Wayland rail trail coming together. Wayland’s Friends of the Rail Trail announced the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) has approved $445,000 for a 3-mile stone-dust path to be installed along the route. Combined with the promised $250,000 gift from the Town Center developer and other funds, this brings the total available to $735,000. In addition, Eagle Scout candidate Andrew Ludwig is planning an ambitious project to increase access to the trail from the Rich Valley Road neighborhood.

Open houses to offer residents the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on the rail trail will be held at the Town Building on January 29, February 26 and March 26, 7-9pm
