Le Cercle Français invites French speakers to their group

Are you interested in maintaining your spoken French? Le Cercle Français meets every other Wednesday evening in and around Wayland, for informal conversation in French. There’s no leader, and no assigned books or pre-determined topics of conversation. The group just chats about whatever comes to mind. Members have various levels of proficiency. Some are quite fluent or even native speakers, while others mostly listen. However, no English is spoken, and no lessons are given (although French vocabulary and grammar are frequent topics of conversation).

While there is no charge for attending the meetings, many members choose to host a meeting from time to time, serving coffee and light refreshments (although we do have members for whom hosting is not possible). The group meets on alternate Wednesdays from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m., but it’s not necessary to attend every session. The first meeting of 2015 will be on Jan. 14.

Le Cercle Français has been getting together for over 35 years, and is always interested in welcoming new members. For more information visit their website, or call Larry Krakauer at 508-358-2319.
