On Wednesday, January 7th, the Girls Varsity Basketball team and the Boys Varsity Basketball team will play a double header at home vs. Weston High School starting at 5:30pm. This game is dedicated to Jim Griffin, a guidance counselor from Wayland High School, who passed away three years ago from pancreatic cancer. The Varsity teams are hosting the Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser in his name, and will be selling t-shirts with his initials on the back for $15 each. Betsy, his wife and two daughters will be honored after the girls varsity game. Representatives from The American Cancer Society will also be at the event to speak about the foundation.
