Boston Herald 11/20/14: Boys Soccer: D’Amico waits until right time. Players, coaches and fans bemoan the idea of penalty kicks deciding a season. Last night, Wayland junior Daniel D’Amico did something about it. With 15 seconds left on the referee’s watch before a shootout, the Warriors left midfielder let a speculative ball fly from about 30 yards out on the left side, catching Norwell goalkeeper James Carton off his line, and delivering Wayland a 2-1 overtime victory in the Div. 3 semifinals at Marciano Stadium in Brockton.

The Warriors will play Belchertown on Saturday morning in Worcester for the Division 3 State Championship.
