Wayland Town Crier 11/18/14: Wayland School Committee weighs solar plans. The School Committee Monday night heard a preliminary proposal to build solar panels at the middle and high schools providing more than 500 kilowatts of electricity. Solar arrays were initially planned as roughly 242 kW in canopies over the middle school parking lot and 272 kW at ground level, on a hill near a high school baseball field, according to the Energy Advisory Committee given the job of studying the idea and coming up with a plan.
