Wayland Town Criewr 10/23/14: Questioning affordable housing units in Wayland. Construction of three new affordable housing units at 4 School St., on the triangular intersection of School Street with East Plain Street and Rte. 30, met with nearly unanimous disapproval from residents at last week’s Planning Board meeting. The proposal by Devens Hamlen and Ben Stevens aims to satisfy the affordable housing requirements of the Covered Bridge development on Rice Road, which they co-own.
