Glezen Lane restriction in Wayland ‘not working’

Wayland Town Crier 9/25/14: Glezen Lane restriction in Wayland ‘not working’. The general feeling at last week’s packed Glezen Lane traffic forum to discuss turn restrictions at the westernmost end of the road seemed to be: “If it’s broke, fix it.”
“This is not working,” said Police Chief Robert Irving. “It’s not working,” said Board of Selectmen Chairman Joe Nolan, speaking for himself. “It really doesn’t work,” said resident Doug Sacra. The town’s hands are tied by a 2008 Settlement Agreement between the town and 13 plaintiffs, approved by a judge at Middlesex Superior Court. According to Town Counsel Mark Lanza, the agreement is tantamount to an order by the judge and “town bodies are bound by it.”
