Wayland Town Crier 9/18/14: Mixed response to grant proposal for River’s Edge. Although the site for River’s Edge, the proposed 190-unit affordable and market-rate housing development near the landfill on Rte. 20, has yet to be released by the Department of Public Works, proponents of the project are forging ahead with various plans. The latest is a $1.7 million MassWorks grant submitted by Town Planner Sarkis Sarkisian to bring potable water to the site in hopes of obtaining a better price for the property when and if it’s put on the market.
