Wayland board doesn’t want to pay Open Meeting Law fine

Wayland Town Crier 9/10/14: Wayland board doesn’t want to pay Open Meeting Law fine. The School Committee has yet to announce when or how it plans to pay a $1,000 fine imposed in late April by the Attorney General’s office, which found the committee committed an “intentional” violation of the Open Meeting Law. Committee Chairwoman Ellen Grieco said last week she could not comment further on the fine. The committee discussed the matter in an executive session on Aug. 28, citing as the reason for going behind closed doors a discussion of strategy with respect to litigation from the AG’s decision.
