Wayland Town Crier 8/21/14: Wayland resident participating in boat festival. More than 40 antique and classic boats will sail into Salem for the 32nd annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. These unique vessels will be displayed to the public at Brewer Hawthorne Cove Marina on Turner Street in Salem. Some owners adorn their craft with period décor and fetching flower arrangements. And you even get to board some of the boats! David Sigourney of Wayland will be sailing a special burgee honoring the Celebrity Sloop Callisto, built in Holland in 1950.
