Wayland Town Crier 7/17/14: Road closure to affect Sudbury, Wayland The Wayland Department of Public Works will be closing a section of Rte. 27 Friday and Sunday for paving preparation. The closure will be from Rte. 27 at the Sudbury town line to Rte. 20, and will run from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. both days. The detour for drivers headed south on Rte. 27 from Sudbury into Wayland is Concord Road southbound to Rte. 20 eastbound, while those traveling north will go in the reverse order. Drivers are being cautioned to seek additional routes and plan for delays as well.

Wayland Town Crier 7/17/14: ‘Heavy delays’ expected on Rte. 20 beginning Monday. The Sudbury Police Department wants to warn commuters that, beginning on July 21, there will be “heavy delays” on Rte. 20. The Sudbury Water Department will be doing work on Rte. 20 between Union Avenue and Horse Pond Road, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day until the work is complete, police said. The road will be down to one lane. Commuters should seek alternate routes, if possible, police said.
