Wayland Town Crier 7/8/14: Treasurer’s race: Following convention, candidates primed for summer campaigning. The three Democratic candidates for state treasurer, following a strong showing at the convention in which each easily cleared the 15 percent threshold, all believe they have momentum entering the summer stretch and have plans to tackle a typically difficult time for campaigning. At the Democratic State Convention in June, Deb Goldberg won the most votes, with 38 percent, while Tom Conroy took 34 percent and Barry Finegold received 27 percent.
