Wayland Council on Aging Summer Outdoor Concert Series

All concerts 7-8pm at Wayland Town Building outdoor courtyard (rain location: Large Hearing Room).

  • June 19, Soft Touch Band  The 18 piece SOFT TOUCH BAND will kick off the season on Thursday, June 19 with BIG BAND music of the 40s and 50s. The concert series will be rain or shine, 7-8pm for 5 consecutive weeks. Invite your family, neighbors and friends to this community event. The “Bringing generations together through music” series is offered by the Wayland Council On Aging

Outdoor seating is limited. Concert goers encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets. CONCERTS are one hour. All concerts will be held on the lawn in front of the Lexington Visitors Center, located at 1875 Massachusetts Avenue, directly opposite the Minuteman Statue and historic Lexington Battle Green. The concerts take place outdoors from 6:30 p.m. until dusk on Fridays in July & August, weather permitting.

Sudbury Concert Series

Come join us for our 10th annual Summer Concert Series. Bring friends, family, a picnic dinner, a blanket or chairs, and maybe even your dancing shoes! See you there. Cost: Free

Weston Concerts on the Town Green

  • June 18 – Ice Cream Social & Concert by-What is better than celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the Beatl4 ever fabes, singing along with their songs, and enjoying Ben and Jerry’s ice cream at the Annual Ice Cream Social on the Town Green? The music of the Beatles is ideal for a family friendly concert as nearly everyone knows the songs. Best of all it’s free!
  • June 25 – The Reminisants, who play everything from Elvis and Buddy Holly to the Beatles and Beach Boys are considered one of the best “oldies” band around. They perform outdoor concerts in many cities and towns throughout Massachusetts.
  • July 2 – Chris Anders and Pure Country-This popular five piece band put together a fun night of traditional and contemporary country music and always add in pop standards and a few oldies.
  • July 9 – Classic Groove-Classic Groove’s repertoire ranges from R & B and Top 40 to smooth jazz and Latin. They’re as comfortable with country and swing to Middle Eastern music and show tunes. With a female lead vocalist, male vocals, saxophone, bass guitar, lead and rhythm guitar, drums, and keyboard they play male and female duets, blues, and Motown.
  • July 16 – Perfect Crime-This five piece classic rock band plays a selection of generation-spanning hits. They have a good following of young and old who love to dance and sing along with hits by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, and more.
  • July 23 – Boogaloo Swamis-Cajun and Zydeco Dance Music from the Bayous of Southwest Louisiana. Hands down, the Boogaloo Swamis are on the short list for the Boston areas top five party bands, the Boston-based Boogaloo Swamis have been playing their unique blend of Cajun, Zydeco and New Orleans influenced rhythm and blues for over twenty years. They have five albums and four Boston Music Awards for outstanding “World Music Act” to their credit.
