Come out on June 7th in celebration of National Trails Day!  Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) is holding its 3rd Annual Trail-a-thon on conservation land in Northwest Framingham on Saturday, June 7, starting at noon.   The festivities include a 10-km walk, and a shorter family-friendly 3-km walk, followed by a BBQ, games and live music.

The Trail-a-thon begins at noon.  Participants will park and begin  the walk from the Framingham Friends Meeting House, 841 Edmands Road, Framingham.  From there, the Trail-a-thon meanders through the lands of SVT, Callahan State Park, and several local landowners. Nature guides will help bring to life all the unique and interesting features of the landscape and ecosystems.

Whole Foods Market is generously sponsoring this event and providing a BBQ to all walkers.  Live music will be provided by The Pennies, who perform an eclectic and lively blend of Americana, Roots Rock, and Country Music.  Earthsong Yoga will offer stretching and yoga sessions before and after the walk.

This year’s Trail-a-thon is sure to be an outstanding event with something fun and appealing for everyone.
