Shuffling Space and Space Needs: Some Options

The public is cordially invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of Wayland on Wednesday, May 28th in the Large Hearing Room, Wayland Town Building. Come at 7pm for gathering and refreshments. There will be a short business meeting at 7:30pm, followed by the program at 8pm.

Planning Board members Colleen Sheehan and Kent Greenawalt and Town Planner Sarki Sarkisian will give a presentation on “Putting the Town in Town Center, or Shuffling Space and Space Needs: Some Options”. What will happen to the current DPW building site when the department moves to its new facility? What is going to happen to the unused day care building that sits on the municipal pad at the town center? The Council on Aging needs a larger space as its programs continue to grow in popularity. Where could it move? What happens to the library building if a new library is built? Come, bring your questions and your curious friends. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear members of the Planning Board discuss potential solutions to these and other space needs.
