While attention in recent weeks has focused on a state effort to reduce nuisance vegetation in Lake Cochituate, local lake groups say they are undertaking an array of other efforts to improve the lake and make it more accessible for people. Sandra Brennan, chairwoman of the Cochituate State Park Advisory Committee, said her group and several other organizations are communicating with each other on initiatives.
