Wayland event encourages emergency preparedness

Wayland Town Crier 4/3/14: Wayland event encourages emergency preparedness. Wayland citizens and many visitors from surrounding communities got an up-close and personal look at what living in a public shelter would be like if forced to leave their homes due to damage or disaster.
The Wayland Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Wayland Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) conducted a safety day and shelter drill on March 22 at Wayland Middle School. Along with CERT and MRC members, nursing and graduate students from Regis College assisted in registration, medical care, and dorm management.
