Wayland Town Crier 3/28/14: Wayland board appoints new town administrator. Selectmen Wednesday unanimously appointed William H. Jones, Jr., as the new town administrator to replace Fred Turkington, who was terminated without cause last August. The only misgivings board members had about the appointment centered on the fact that Jones was the sole candidate to be interviewed by selectmen and that he is from out of state and, thus, may not be familiar with Massachusetts municipal law.
