MetroWest projects in the mix in Senate transportation bill

Wayland Town Crier 3/7/14: MetroWest projects in the mix in Senate transportation bill. The state Senate passed the long-awaited $13.1 billion transportation bond bill Thursday, which includes $20 million for projects in MetroWest ranging from bridge repairs to railroad crossings. The legislation includes funding for projects in Ashland, Framingham, Hudson, Sudbury and Wayland. They include construction on the Sherman Bridge connecting Wayland and Sudbury and the Cox Street Bridge in Hudson, routes 126 in Ashland and 135 in Framingham, downtown revitalization and roadway management in Hudson, and the planning and construction of projects to mitigate at-grade rail crossing in Ashland.
