POSTPONED until February 27: The Economic Development Committee invites residents on housing tours to preview what River’s Edge housing could be like

The following was submitted by the Economic Development Committee:

For those of you who may be interested, the Economic Development Committee is hosting the first of two housing tours next Thursday February 27 (note: this is a date change; postponement due to weather forecast for the 13th) at 10am-noon. The purpose of the tours is to visit new rental communities nearby, to see firsthand just a few examples of what proposed housing at River’s Edge could possibly look and/or be like. A flyer is attached with details.

This first tour will focus on two new over-55 communities nearby: Shillman House in Framingham, and The Coolidge at Sudbury, the new project under construction on Route 20 at Landham Road. A second tour, to be coordinated next, will highlight non-age-restricted new apartment communities. We will keep you posted on the second tour once it’s set.

If you would like to tour these properties but aren’t available next Thursday, or weekdays in general, please let us know, and with sufficient demand, we can schedule an evening or weekend visit to return with a second group.

To join the tour, please meet at Town Building, at Sarkis’ office at 10am, and we’ll travel as a group to each of the two properties, then return back to Town Building. (Bus transportation is available, just email Sarkis at ssarkisian@wayland.ma.us to RSVP so we have a head count for who’s riding the bus)

Event flyer is online here.
