Obituary: Rosalind Dickinson Kingsbury

Boston Globe 1/18/14: Rosalind Dickinson Kingsbury, 1922-2013. Rosalind Dickinson Kingsbury relished oysters plucked from the surf, extended tiebreakers on the tennis court, the appearance of rare birds at the kitchen feeder, and billowing spinnakers for a sail downwind. She died on December 26, 2013, having enjoyed these, and the countless other joys of life for more than 91 years. Mrs. Kingsbury was among the first to teach kindergarten in Wayland when it first added in 1969 (and was the one to make the motion for a Kindergarten Study Committee back in 1956.   1. The Strawberry Festival was a Wayland Event every year the whole town
    would turn out on the high school field what is now the Town Building My Father was an active member of the junior Town House and served on the committee that built the town pool at that time the Junior Town House operated the pool.
