There is a water main break in front of Wayland Middle School, and school there is closed today.

Here is the message sent out by the school:

Dear WMS Families,

A short while ago we learned of a water main break near the middle school.  We currently have no water in the building and therefore must cancel school for today.

Given the timing, many students were already on the bus and headed for school. These children have been rerouted to the Wayland High School field house where they will be cared for by WMS staff until they can be picked up by families. If your child rode the bus to school this morning, please make arrangements to pick him or her up at the High School Field House as soon as possible.
