Wayland Town Crier 12/11/13: Wayland selectmen argue over Turkington’s termination. The Board of Selectmen’s abrupt termination of former Town Administrator Fred Turkington in late August once again caused tempers to flare at the selectmen’s meeting on Monday night. In a decision Nov. 25, the Attorney General’s Office found no evidence the selectmen improperly discussed firing Turkington prior to their Aug. 26 meeting, but found the notice for that meeting was not specific enough to inform the public that a discussion about possibly firing Turkington would occur.
