Town of Wayland 12/4/13 3pm: IMMEDIATE ROAD CLOSURE – OLD CONNECTICUT PATH – POWER OUTAGE. Old Connecticut Path has been closed due to a fallen tree. The road is closed from Route 27 to West Plain Street.

This evening, NSTAR will be shutting off power to residences along Old Connecticut Path in the area of Charena Road, as the fallen tree is removed from primary electric wires. It is not known the exact time that the outage will occur, or the duration of the outage.

A detour will be established for vehicles travelling on Old Connecticut Path (Route 126) during the time the tree is removed, to protect all persons and vehicles from falling tree limbs. The detour will be manned by police officers and is expected to be in place for several hours.
