Wayland Town Crier 10/21/13: PHOTOS: Juvenile bald eagle seen in Wayland. Despite a major decline in population due to pesticide usage through the 1970s, the population of bald eagles has seen a comeback. Amateur wildlife and nature photographer Brad Dinerman of Ashland captured these images of a juvenile bald eagle at Heard Pond in Wayland in October. The adults with their typical white head and tail are also at the pond, but are more reluctant to come so close to people.
