Wayland Town Crier 9/30/13: AG: Wayland committee violates law again. For the second time in a month, the Attorney General’s office has ruled the Wayland Finance Committee violated the state’s Open Meeting Law.
In a decision on Sept. 24, Assistant Attorney General Hanne Rush of the Division of Open Government wrote that the Finance Committee violated the OML by failing to list a topic specifically enough in its meeting notice for Sept. 5, 2012; failing to create accurate meeting minutes; and failing to follow required procedures for entering into executive session.
