Katie’s Races are a collection of running events held at Wayland High School that raise money and awareness for people with disabilities. The Half Marathon is a scenic course running through Wayland and into Sudbury, including a beautiful stretch along the Sudbury River. The 5K Race winds through the neighborhoods surrounding Wayland High School. The Kids’ Race’s take place on the fields of WHS and encourage health and fitness amongst children ages 12 and under.

Proceeds from these 3 events support the Purple Shoes Challenge, a race for people with physical disabilities, held November 2 at WHS and the Katie Lynch Foundation, which was established to enable people with disabilities to lead active, fulfilling lives.
