Second complaint filed against Wayland selectmen

Metrowest Daily News 9/21/13: Second complaint filed against Wayland selectmen. Wayland resident Kim Reichelt has filed a second Open Meeting Law complaint against the Board of Selectmen following the board’s Aug. 26 meeting, in which three members voted to fire former Town Administrator Fred Turkington. Reichelt’s original complaint on Sept. 3 stated the agenda item for Selectman Tony Boschetto’s motion on Aug. 26 “failed to contain a listing of contents that was sufficiently specific to reasonably advise members of the public of the anticipated topics for discussion.” In her newest complaint filed Wednesday, Reichelt states she has reason to believe Boschetto, Selectman Ed Collins and Chairman Doug Leard had conducted prior deliberations about the motion outside of public view.

Wayland Patch 9/19/13: Selectmen Facing Another Turkington-Related Complaint. Wayland resident Kim Reichelt has filed a second Open Meeting Law complaint against the Board of Selectmen. The new complaint comes on the heels of her first complaint alleging selectmen broke the Open Meeting Law by providing a vague and unclear agenda item under which they terminated former town administrator Fred Turkington. Selectmen plan to respond to her first complaint during their Sept. 23 meeting.

The complaint is posted online here.
