Metrowest Daily News 9/8/13: Local utility companies deal with tree-cutting backlash. More than a year ago, dozens of residents in MetroWest had just about had it with NStar. They angrily packed local meeting halls and wrote letters to their representatives, urging leaders to do something. It wasn’t power outages they were upset with, however. Instead, their ire was focused on the actions the utility company had taken to prevent them, particularly an extensive “reclamation” campaign aimed at clearing trees in its transmission line rights of way in Framingham, Natick, Wayland and Sudbury.
