Weston man hurt, power cut after fiery Weston crash

Wayland Town Crier 8/10/13: Weston man hurt, power cut after fiery Weston crash. A Weston man was hurt in a fiery car crash into a telephone pole and through a wooded yard on Blueberry Hill Road early Saturday, police said. The 2:23 a.m. crash knocked out power in the area of Wellesley Street at Blueberry Hill Road, police Dispatcher Brian Hourihan said. The 21-year-old driver escaped with minor injuries, and was taken to an area hospital, Hourihan said. Hourihan said the car caught fire after flying through a telephone pole and careening about 40 feet into the woods on Blueberry Hill Road. The crash took down a mess of wires, he said. Police said that crash is under investigation. Police did make an arrest, however, after a second crash in the same area of Wellesley Street at Blueberry Hill Road while officers were still on the scene. Alexandra Tuchler, 18, of Northwood Lane, Wayland, was arrested just after 4 a.m. after she drunkenly hit a cruiser that was blocking the road, police said.
