Special counsel appointed in Wayland lawsuit

Wayland Town Crier 7/17/13: Special counsel appointed in Wayland lawsuit. The Board of Selectmen on Tuesday night voted unanimously to appoint Mirick, O’Connell, DeMallie & Lougee LLP of Worcester as special counsel to assist with post-trial litigation in Town Center developer Twenty Wayland’s lawsuit against the town and the Wastewater Management District Commission (WMDC). On June 11, a Middlesex Superior Court jury ruled in favor of plaintiff Twenty Wayland, ordering the town to pay nearly $990,000 in damages, which was amended to $1.2 million by a judge on June 24.

Wayland Patch 7/18/13: Selectmen Approve Hiring of Additional Legal Counsel. The Wayland Board of Selectmen Tuesday evening agreed to bring on additional legal counsel in the matter of Twenty Wayland v. the Town of Wayland the Wayland Wastewater Management District Commission, according to video posted by WayCam.
