Wayland Patch 7/1/13: When Will The Local Open at Wayland Town Center? It won’t be long now before Wayland can enjoy some “local” flavor at Wayland Town Center. The Local, a West Newton gastropub, is set to open its second location at Wayland Town Center very soon. Frank Santo, owner of The Local, announced in January that he planned to bring the restaurant to Wayland Town Center. He’ll share the building with Middlesex Savings Bank.
