Boston Globe 6/29/13: Obituary: Joel Scott Harrison Barnett. Joel Scott Harrison Barnett, 27, died on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center from cardiac arrest after being stricken at his residence two weeks ago. He attended Wayland Middle School and graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 2004. Upon graduation he attended Bridgewater State College. While at the Wayland schools he played basketball on the middle school team and for four years excelled as an athlete on the football field as a FB/LB for the Wayland Warriors. For several years he was the Administrative Assistant for Donelan Construction in Jamaica Plain. Most recently, Joel has been the Assistant Manager at the Boston Tea Party Museum Gift Shop at both the Boston and Faneuil Hall locations Joel has always maintained his relationship with his Wayland friends and their families over the years.
