Male Actor Sought for Upcoming Production of “The Fox On The Fairway” at the Vokes Theater

post road playmakersWayland’s newest non-profit community theater group, the Post Road Playmakers, is looking for an energetic actor for their production of Ken Ludwig’s “The Fox on the Fairway” which will run for three nights in late August at the Vokes theater in Wayland. This is a non-union production and there is no compensation provided. Net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Parmenter Community Health Care Center in Wayland. Acting experience a plus, but not required.   Auditions will be arranged by appointment either Sunday June 23rd or Monday June 24th.

Show Descripton: A crazy golf clubhouse tees up a frenetic farce in this fast-paced comedy. A raucous rivalry between two screwball country clubs drives the members into love on the links, sauciness in the sand traps, and frolic on the fairway while scheming and conniving to win the top prize.

Charater Description: Justin Hicks, a young golfer in his 20s. Country club manager’s new eager-to-please assistant who volunteers his services as a golfer to help Quail Valley win the golf tournament. He is romantically involved with young, beautiful Louise and proposes to her early on, but he becomes emotionally distraught as things become difficult between them.

Show Dates: August 22, 23, 24 at the Vokes Theater in Wayland, MA
