Wayland Town Crier 6/11/13: Initiatives honor Wayland High graduate Eric Chase. Nearly everyone has a family member or a loved one who has been touched by cancer. Prevention and early detection are the best “cures” for many cancers. But, some cancers are much more random. Eric Chase, a 2008 graduate of Wayland High School, was a vibrant 21-year-old senior in the honors college at the University of Vermont. He was diagnosed with AML leukemia in December 2011 and treated by Dana-Farber physicians.
