Citizens interested in filling vacancies on various boards and committees can express their interest by letter or email. The application process is easy. Simply send an email or mail a letter addressed to the Board of Selectmen at selectmen@wayland.ma.us or Town of Wayland, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778 not later than June 19, 2013. The letter should include a statement of interest and provide information on your education and experience (professional or volunteer) relevant to the position you seek. Many citizens submit a resume or bulletized summary of this background information with the brief letter of interest. You are also encouraged to attend a meeting or to contact the chair of the board or committee in which you are interested. Selectmen will interview candidates as part of the regular Selectmen’s meeting on Monday, June 24 at 7:30pm in the Town Building. You will be contacted to schedule an interview. In order to be considered for appointment, you must be a registered voter in the Town of Wayland.
