Winner of 2013 Veterans Memorial Freedom Prize announced

Wayland Town Crier 5/23/13: Winner of 2013 Veterans Memorial Freedom Prize announced. After stating that “overcrowding in California’s prisons clearly violates the Eighth Amendment rights against cruel and unusual punishment,” Charles Nuss, a Wayland High School sophomore, with his winning essay, “California’s Prison Conditions,” became the recipient of the 2013 Wayland Veterans Memorial Freedom Prize.
