Wayland Schools Green Team Meeting, Monday, May 13

Monday May 13th from 4-5:30pm at the Happy Hollow Library. The Green Team continues to make strides at each school:

Claypit Hill: composts all grades’ food waste, recycles and has a vibrant vegetable garden.
Happy Hollow: continuously scores high in deep recycling, has a fully-occupied 6 bed garden and is composting cafeteria food scraps.
Middle School: Composts food waste for all three grades, recycles and has a vibrant vegetable garden.
High School: Recycles both indoors and outside and is evaluating a garden for next year.

Most importantly: Our student involvement is increasing at each school and the compost material is used to nurture our vegetable gardens. We are working with the Board of Health so that we can begin to offer our organic vegetables to our students!

We welcome the community to come to our regularly scheduled meetings, on the second Monday of each month, from 4-5:30 at the Happy Hollow library. Children welcome. For more information visit www.waylandgreenteam.org.
