Ryan Loehndorf and Dustin Thompson knew one thing when they decided to get married in paradise – the world wasn’t exactly their oyster. The Texas couple needed a resort that was willing to host a same-sex wedding, and they credit a Wayland company with finding the dream location where they could proudly and comfortably say their “I do’s.” They celebrated their love in a small, beachside ceremony at Costa Rica’s welcoming Hilton Payagayo, capped by fireworks and applause from onlookers. “We just had the best experience I think you could ever ask for,” Loehndor said. Catering to what it says is a strong market, Destination Weddings Travel Group this year launched GayDestinationWeddings.com, a website aimed at lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) brides- and grooms-to-be.
