Preview of Board of Selectmen Meeting, Tuesday, January 22

The Board of Selectmen will meet on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Wayland Town Building.  After Chairman John Bladon reviews the meeting agenda for the viewing public and makes any announcements, Selectmen will receive public comment.

At 7:15 p.m., the Board will conduct a public hearing on a request from NSTAR to locate a utility pole and guy wire on Stonebridge Road.  The hearing is a routine matter, but required by state law.

Following the hearing, Selectmen will review the thirty articles submitted for consideration for inclusion in the 2013 Annual Town Meeting Warrant.  The text of each article has been put together as a handout for the article hearing conducted by the Finance Committee on Wednesday, January 23rd at 7:15 p.m. (a copy of which has been posted on the website).  Selectmen will also consider assignment of articles to collaborate with their counterpart on the finance Committee to assure full review of each article prior to town meeting.

After considering the consent calendar and reviewing correspondence, Selectmen will then listen to the report of the town administrator and offer general items of concern.  The Board will then consider a draft agreement which pledges an adjustment to the mitigation settlement for the Danforth housing development provided the revised project plan is approved by Framingham boards substantially similar to the current proposal.  The Board will review information gathered in response to questions posed by citizens at public comment last week.

The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room.
