Hurricane Sandy Donations Leave Wayland for Breezy Point

Wayland Patch 11/13/12: PHOTOS: Hurricane Sandy Donations Leave Wayland for Breezy Point. Under a drizzly, gray Tuesday morning sky, two tractor-trailers full of donations for victims of Hurricane Sandy departed the parking lot of the Wayland Town Center Stop & Shop with a Wayland fire and police escort. The two Stop & Shop-donated trucks are headed to Breezy Point, N.Y., a section of Queens that suffered catastrophic damage when Superstorm Sandy blew ashore on Oct. 29.
Wayland resident Cynthia Hill, along with her husband David, started last week organizing a massive donation effort specifically for the people of Breezy Point.
