The School Committee plans to hold a special meeting with the Finance Committee on Monday, October 15th, at 7pm at the Town Building to further discuss the FY14 Operating Budget Guidelines. The Finance Committee has asked all Town Departments, including the School Department, to submit two operating budgets:
- One with level services (after being adjusted for steps and lanes, settled contracts and utility changes) and
- One with a reduction of approximately 10% to help mitigate the potential impact for residents."
The School Committee encourages all community members to be a part of this process by attending this public meeting or by contacting any of the Committee members with feedback.
