Wayland’s finance director has announced his intention to resign from the town’s top finance position on or near Oct. 31. The announcement comes as town departments and boards are gearing up for the Fiscal Year 2014 budget cycle. According to information supplied by Town Administrator Fred Turkington, DiPietro is moving on from Wayland to pursue other employment opportunities. Turkington said he has not yet finalized the replacement process, but noted that he expects it to follow a similar process to that of hiring other department directors.
