Tax Reform Discussion, Thursday, September 27

State Representatives Tom Conroy of Wayland, Alice Peisch of Wellesley, David Linsky of Natick, Chris Walsh of Framingham, Jay Kaufman of Lexington, and State Senator Richard Ross of Wrentham invite all interested residents in the MetroWest area to a Town Hall type, bi-partisan discussion of Massachusetts tax policy, the state budget, state aid to municipalities, and related topics. Invitations are being sent to several organizations in the region, including Democratic and Republican Town Committees from Wayland and surrounding towns, chambers of commerce and business associations, and other organizations.

When: Thursday, September 27, 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Where: Wayland High School Lecture Hall (2nd floor, South Building)
Who: State Rep. Tom Conroy will host the discussion and, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, present an overview of state and local taxes and expenditures, to be followed by questions and answers.
Why: It is likely that a major tax reform bill will be a top priority in the next legislative session, which starts in January, 2013. Residents are encouraged to share their ideas and discuss what kind of reform is needed.
