The Friends of the Wayland Council On Aging have decided to give the fabulous chefs and their teams from last year’s Wayland’s Iron Chef a rest this year so they can be gathering ideas for the next competition. So we now invite everyone to Save the Date for our “over-the-top” LOBSTER FEST to be held at Sandy Burr Country Club, Sunday, September 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Dinner will include lobster AND steak tips AND chicken breasts, chowder, corn on the cob, salads and the grand finale – Lizzie’s make your own ice cream sundaes. WOW! There will be an incredible dessert auction with over 20 pies, cakes, and other sweets beyond description.
Tickets will be on sale the second week of August at The Wayland Council On Aging and the Village Bank. Capacity is limited so be sure to buy your tickets early. More information will be provided as the date nears. See you there and bring a BIG appetite!
