SOAR 55, Service Opportunities After Reaching 55

If you are 55 plus, SOAR 55 will personally assist you in your volunteer search. Choose from many local volunteer opportunities; this fall, train to help an elementary school child improve their reading or math skills, so critical to future success; train to provide community mediation services to achieve a successful solution for all parties involved, training begins in October; assist military service members with areas of financial planning including budgeting, investing, improving credit and purchasing homes;  train to provide nonprofit management consulting services to local nonprofits, interviewing begins in late August; lead the planning and execution of a critical fund-raiser for an organization that provides transportation to older adults and the visually impaired, or develop marketing strategies and tactics to increase awareness; create an easy IT system to facilitate the collection and analysis of child assessment and program quality data for an after school program; and much more!
