Weston Concerts on the Town Green.  Wednesdays, 7pm-8:30pm (unless otherwise noted)  No Rain Dates.  Sponsored by Cambridge Trust Company & Omni Foods
  • June 13 –  Ice Cream Social & Band Concert on the Town Green, 6pm-7:30pm,  Music by the Sharon Community Band.  The Sharon Community Band was founded in 1988 by the late Roy Scott of Sharon, Mass, under the auspices of the Town’s Recreation Department.  The Band has grown from a handful of Sharon residents to over 55 musicians, ranging in age from early teens to their nineties.  Their outdoor summer concerts are fun for the entire family, and include Broadway show tunes, patriotic melodies, stirring marches and familiar favorites.
  • June 20 – Dale & the Duds perform a varied mix of classic rock n’ roll from the 50s and 60s.  The band has been appearing in concerts, night clubs and functions across New England since 1972.  Using guitars, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals, Dale Julius, Randy Julius, Paul Ayers, Bob Ferrante and Mitch Mackiewicz entertain audiences of all ages with their unique style and artistic blend of material.
  • June 27- Country Mile Band – Few New England acts have had such explosive success as the Country Mile Band (CMB).  Their music has been called a “kicking” kind of country.  From their foot stomping covers to their original music they will keep you dancing for sure.  CMB has gained a solid reputation as New England’s premiere country music, dance, party and show band.  Members have played in symphony orchestras to one man traveling bands.  The chemistry that has evolved from these guys coming together is amazing!

  • July 18 – Gopherbroke – Gopherbroke has developed a distinctive reputation for providing fine acoustic music at area clubs, town greens, and private functions throughout New England.  Acknowledging influences from rock and roll, folk, and blues, Gopherbroke’s broad and crowd-pleasing repertoire includes songs by Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffet, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many more!
  • July 25 – Classic Groove – Classic Groove’s repertoire ranges from R & B and Top 40 to smooth jazz and Latin.  They’re as comfortable with country and swing to Middle Eastern music and show tunes.  With a female lead vocalist, male vocals, saxophone, bass guitar, lead and rhythm guitar, drums, and keyboard they play male and female duets, blues, and Motown. 
  • August 1- Nowheremen -Boston’s feistiest Beatles band performing the sounds of the Fab Four and other rock n’ roll music.  The quartet remains faithful to the Fab Four’s concept of three guitars up front with cuddly drummer in back.  These fellows lay aside their vast storehouse of rockabilly, soul, Celtic, pop, and original ballads and rockers to concentrate on reproducing and celebrating the greatest music of our time.  A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

See you there.   Haskell Field (rain location: Fairbanks Community Center Gym).  Cost: Free.  Family Fun Night: July 23rd.
  • JULY 9th – Reminisants.  The Reminisants have been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout New England since 1973. The band's repertoire features dance music that appeals to a variety of musical tastes across several generations. The Reminisants are proud of their reputation as one of Boston's most enduring and consistent stage acts.
  • JULY 16th – Better Her Than Me.  Better Her Than Me is one of Boston's coolest, funnest, high-energy bands, playing great dance music from the 60s through the present. Top40, 80s rock, Motown, R&B, 70s funk, you name it!
  • JULY 23th – Family Fun Night featuring The Toe Jam Puppet Band.  Formed in 2000, the Toe Jam Puppet Band offers a special brand of hands-on children's entertainment that grown-ups can actually enjoy. The Dynamic group is great with kids, but best when teachers or parents are having fun with the little ones. The performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs, masterful shadow puppetry, storytelling and just plain old good fun.
  • July 30th – Accent A Cappella.  Accent is the first student-run a cappella group from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Since its bold founding in 2004, Accent has released 3 full length a cappella CDs. The group strives to bring a cappella into the mainstream by singing popular music. Accent currently consists of 16 members.
  • AUGUST 6th – Infractions.  The Infractions, featuring the “Happening Horns,” have been a mainstay in the wedding, college, and concert scene for more than seven years. Their music ranges from horn-driven Funk and Hip-Hop to contemporary Swing and Ska. They infuse alternative Rock, old school 70’s, and the big 80’s. 

 

 

Come join us for our 8th annual Summer Concert Series. Bring friends, family, a picnic dinner, a blanket or chairs, a picinic dinner, and maybe even your dancing shoes! See you there.  Concerts will be held on Monday nights beginning at 7:00pm. All concerts will be held at Haskell Field (at the corner of Hudson Rd and Fairbanks Rd), and are FREE, so the entire family is welcome to come.  Rain location – Fairbanks Community Center Gym
