Concerns on sodium levels in Wayland water

Wayland Town Crier 6/7/12: Concerns on sodium levels in Wayland water. The Board of Health and Department of Public Works Director Don Ouellette agreed at a meeting last week that residents, especially those on low-sodium and salt-restricted diets, should be made aware of the relatively high levels of the chemical in the town’s drinking water so that they can take appropriate measures. In samplings taken between February and April of this year, sodium levels at the wellheads ranged from a low of 26 parts per million at Baldwin Well No. 1 to a high of 72 parts per million at Happy Hollow Well No. 2.
